Last weekend, we had the greatest honour and pleasure to play a small role and be the wedding photographer for the lovely couple, Daniel Ong and Fay Tan.
If you ever saw this couple on the streets, it’s hard not to walk by these two good looking individuals without taking a second glance. Every picture we took of them was almost like a picture perfect portrait out of a wedding magazine. Daniel’s outgoing and bubbly personality complements perfectly with Fay’s soft spoken and charismatic nature. And what’s most beautiful about Daniel and Fay is that they share similar backstories that have brought them even closer together. They both had a daughter that there were extremely close to and it was a touching moment to watch how Daniel and Fay made extra effort to have their lovely girls play a part in their wedding.
For starters, instead of a usual hotel reception, the couple booked out an entire space to have a carnival to make it a wedding not just for the folks, but also one for their kids and that of their guests.
The wedding itself was held against the beautiful sunset at Pan Americana Sentosa’s lawn. A breathtaking sight as the couple stood under the handmade arc with the bridesmaids and groomsmen standing by their side to witness this moment, along with Daniel and Fay’s closest friends and family members.
Even though the area was filled by hundreds, at that very moment, while they read their heartfelt vows to each other, it was apparent that in their eyes, they could only see each other.
After their vows, it was my own personal favourite segment when Daniel and Fay each took turns to present their daughters with a wrist band. I remember when Daniel and Fay first told us about their plans to do this; they said that it was not just about the two of them, but it was a reunion that included their girls too. In their respective speeches, both Daniel and Fay made promises to the girls and it was truly a celebration of 2 plus 2 which makes 4ever.
The sky was perfect on the day Daniel and Fay tied the knot and it was almost an representation on how beautiful things are in stored for not just the both of them, but for their girls as well.
